Seasonal insertion of adaptable stage, auditorium, bar and theatrical back-of-house into the ruins of an Elizabethan stately home. The design is informed by research conducted for 3rd year dissertation on stage boundaries exploring the definition and role of audience immersion in theatrical performance.
Project interrogates tectonic treatment of historic fabric with physically or visually light materiality and takes a playful approach to spectator relationship with the stage, performance and site heritage.
